The candidate will have leadership responsibility for schedule, cost, and technical performance for this large, complex, and diverse program.
We are seeking qualified candidates that bring strong leadership and satellite ground system experience to ensure an innovative, efficient, and mission-effective ground system providing command and control, navigation, and data processing services.
The position drives innovation and modernization and ensures the program team is leaning forward in enabling new services and capabilities to align with a focus on mission reliability and cost-effective sustainment.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead the sustainment of ground system as it transitions to a services model.
Lead the program in ensuring innovative and mission-effective services and solutions are consistently achieved Responsible to direct, grow, and ensure successful execution of all aspects of the program Manage program resources with the responsibility for overall performance from a financial, technical, schedule, contractual, and customer satisfaction Communicate policies, purposes and goals of the program and building/maintaining a positive work culture Develop, track, and ensure plans and schedules are followed, develop solutions to program challenges, and seek opportunities to maximize customer satisfaction Directly interface with and support the program office and stakeholders as needed to coordinate all program activities and assess performance of the contract Travel to local and remote government and Peraton facilities as necessary to interface with government and Peraton personnel; (estimated less than 10%) Support business development activities in new and follow-on contract pursuitsRequired Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or Math, or related technical discipline, and 18
years of directly related experience, or a Master's degree and 16
years of related experience Demonstrated knowledge and insight in ground system architecture, cloud implementation, services, and approaches A background that includes relationships within NOAA National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) Experience managing large ($50M plus) projects with respect to cost, schedule, performance, and risk Minimum 8
years of experience interfacing with Government and/or Prime customers to provide status of projects and resolving program issues Experience with selection and hiring of candidates for technical and management positions and conducting performance evaluations and salary reviews for assigned staff Experience with managing programs with modern and current IT, such as cloud and/or virtual networks Hold or have the ability to obtain a DOC Public Trust ClearanceDesired Qualifications A Master's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science Expert practitioner in innovation and applying innovation to government services 10
years' experience working with NOAA and deep understanding of NOAA's ground systems, networks, standards, policies and procedures for execution and operations of their missions PMI certified as a PMP Earned Value Management (EVMS) Experience with developing and/or managing system as a service and distributed cloud architectures Experience with leading a team to develop creative ways to adapt current technology, increasing efficiency and maximizing the potential of existing assets.
Ability to succeed in the fast-paced and changing environments of development and program execution Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent teamwork.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
