General Description:
As a CDL Bus Driver/Operator, your primary responsibility will be to operate a commercial bus.
You will coordinate with dispatch for pick-ups and transfers, maintain accurate documentation and motor vehicle logs as required by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and federal/state authorities.
Regular inspections of assigned equipment and reporting repair/maintenance requests to Dispatch will be essential.
Ensuring cleanliness and fueling of the vehicle will also be part of your responsibilities.
Additionally, you will load and unload baggage or parcels, transport customers on pre-scheduled trips, and comply with traffic regulations to ensure safe and courteous operation of the vehicle.
Job Skills and Experience Requirements:
Good knowledge of transportation industry concepts, practices, and procedures, including DOT regulations.
Current CDL Class A or B with Passengers (P) and Air Brakes endorsement.
At least 3 years of experience.
Must pass a Criminal Background Investigation.
Must possess a current DOT Medical Card.
Successful completion of mandatory pre-employment drug testing.
Must not be disqualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle as per CFR 391.
15.
Clear driving record with no accidents in the past three (3) years and no more than two (2) moving violations.
Ability to safely load, transfer, and unload passengers' luggage.
Neat and well-groomed appearance.
Excellent communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) and listening skills.
Strong customer service skills.
