As a Clerical Aide you will:
Work under the direction of a Circulation Supervisor.
Serve as front desk support (e.
g.
answers phones and greets public) and provide assistance to library customers.
Perform routine data entry including entering customer information into library database.
Collect customer fines/fees as needed.
Organize and shelve library materials.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or GED equivalent; work permits are required for all minors under the age of 18.
Experience providing (or an understanding of how to provide) excellent customer service.
Good communication skills.
Basic cash handling experience.
Ability to sort material in alphabetic and numeric order.
Ability to shelve 100 books per hour.
Attention to detail, organization, and problem solving skills.
Proficiency using Google Suite, databases, e-mail, internet and other office equipment.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Positions self to reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and frequently lift or move up to 20 pounds.
Work Schedule:
